The session will include practical exercises and activities to help participants understand and apply these concepts in their daily lives. 

They will also develop practical skills and techniques for identifying and addressing stressors and implementing evidence-based stress management strategies.

  • The Link Between Stress and Brain Health: Participants will learn about the various ways in which stress impacts the brain, including through the promotion of inflammation, the disruption of neural connections, and the impairment of cognitive function.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: Participants will learn about the various evidence-based practices that can be used to manage and reduce stress, including mindfulness, exercise, and stress- reducing activities such as yoga and tai chi.
  • Identifying and Addressing Stressors: Participants will learn about how to identify and address stressors, including through the use of stress assessment tools and the implementation of stress management strategies.
  • The Role of Neurons in Stress: Participants will learn about the role of neurons in the stress response and how to optimize neural functioning to reduce stress and improve cognitive function.
