Team Cooking Sessions
Knowing how to cook healthy, delicious meals is a skill for life. It holds multiple benefits for health and finances (saving tons of cash splurged on takeouts). One becomes conscious of how much salt/sugar food contains, and it nurtures an appreciation for spices, vegetables, and other natural ingredients.
Cooking can be a fun and rewarding activity that brings people together and helps to build teamwork and communication skills.
In this team cooking session, participants will have the opportunity to learn new cooking techniques and create a meal as a group.
- Introduction to the benefits of home cooking
- Demonstration of basic cooking skills and techniques
- Collaborative meal planning and preparation
- Discussion on the importance of healthy eating and nutrition
- The instructor will demonstrate basic cooking skills and techniques, such as chopping and seasoning.
- Participants will work together to plan and prepare a meal using the skills learned
- The group will discuss the importance of healthy eating and nutrition and how to incorporate these principles into their daily lives
