Introduction
The work environment can play a significant role in supporting or hindering the ability of working parents to balance their professional and personal commitments.
In this training, we will explore the role of the work environment in supporting working parents and discuss strategies for creating a supportive and inclusive culture for working parents.
The goal is to help organizations understand the importance of creating a supportive work culture for working parents and provide tools and resources to help them do so.

- Group exercise: Participants will work in small groups to identify challenges with creating a supportive work culture for working parents and brainstorm strategies for improvement.
- Role-play: Participants will role-play a scenario in which a working parent is struggling with a lack of support in the workplace and will practice using the strategies learned in the session to address the issue.

- The Family-Supportive Workplace Model: This model explains how supportive workplace practices can have a positive impact on employee well-being and performance. It can be leveraged within work settings by implementing supportive practices and policies that benefit working parents and the organization.
- The Inclusion Theory: This theory suggests that inclusive workplaces foster a sense of belonging and can lead to improved performance and well-being. It can be leveraged within work settings by creating a culture of inclusion for working parents and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- The Work-Life Balance Theory: This theory suggests that work-life balance is important for employee well-being and performance. It can be leveraged within work settings by implementing work-life balance policies and practices that benefit working parents.
At the end of this session, participants will have a better understanding of the role of the work environment in supporting working parents and will be equipped with strategies and resources to create a supportive and inclusive culture for working parents.
Participants will be able to identify and address challenges in creating a supportive work culture in their own organizations and will be prepared to implement strategies to support working parents.
Participants will be able to create a work culture that supports the well-being and success of working parents and feels more confident in their ability to create an inclusive and supportive workplace.
