Introduction
Reverse thinking is a powerful technique that involves considering the opposite approach to a problem or challenge.
It allows us to challenge our assumptions and consider alternative solutions that may not have been previously considered.
In this skills training program, employees and managers will learn the fundamentals of reverse thinking and how to apply it in a work setting.

- The aim of this skills training program is to introduce attendees
to the concept of reverse thinking and provide them with the
tools and frameworks to apply it in their work. - The objectives of this skills training program are to:
- Define reverse thinking and its benefits
- Explain the different types of reverse thinking
- Provide examples of how reverse thinking can be applied in a work setting
- Lead attendees through practical exercises to practice reverse thinking
- Discuss how to overcome common challenges when using reverse thinking
This skills training program will be delivered through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the material through interactive activities and will have the chance to practice reverse thinking through hands-on exercises.

- The Six Thinking Hats model by Edward de Bono: a framework for examining problems from different perspectives
- The Five Whys method: a problem-solving technique that involves asking “why” repeatedly to uncover the root cause of a problem
Attendees will learn how to use reverse thinking to improve decision making, creativity, and problem solving within their work settings. They will also learn how to overcome common challenges and effectively apply reverse thinking to real-world situations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to practice reverse thinking through a variety of exercises, including:
- Brainstorming sessions: attendees will work in groups to come up with as many ideas as possible, both positive and negative, for a given problem or challenge
- Role-playing: attendees will take on different roles and consider how they would approach a problem or challenge from different perspectives
- Case studies: attendees will work in groups to apply reverse thinking to real-world scenario
At the end of this skills training program, attendees will have a thorough understanding of reverse thinking and its benefits.
They will know how to apply it in a work setting and will have the tools and frameworks to overcome common challenges.
Attendees will also have had the opportunity to practice reverse thinking through interactive exercises, enabling them to confidently apply these techniques in their day-to-day work.
