Introduction

Being a working parent can be a challenging and rewarding experience, but it can also be stressful and overwhelming at times. This workshop is designed to provide employees who are working parents with the skills and tools to effectively incorporate mindfulness strategies into their daily lives, both personally and professionally.

Throughout the session, we will cover both the theoretical and practical elements of mindfulness, including its foundations in mindfulness meditation and its role in reducing stress and improving mental health.

  • Mindfulness and Parenting Reflection: Participants will individually reflect on how mindfulness practices can support them in balancing work and parenthood, sharing insights in pairs or small groups.
  • Mindfulness’s Role in Stress Management: Participants will explore how mindfulness can help them manage stress and enhance their well-being. They will engage in a guided mindfulness exercise tailored to the challenges of juggling work and parenting.
  • Mindful Parenting Strategies Exchange: Participants will discuss mindful parenting strategies they have found effective in their lives. In pairs or small groups, they will share personal experiences and insights into maintaining connection and presence with their children.
