Introduction

Mental health is an important aspect of overall health and wellbeing for women. Women experience unique stressors and challenges that can impact their mental health, and it’s important to prioritize self- care in order to maintain good mental health. 

In this presentation/workshop, participants will learn about the importance of mental health, common stressors and challenges faced by women, and strategies for promoting good mental health and self-care.

  • Creating a self-care plan
  • Identifying stressors and developing coping strategies
  • Practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation

By the end of this session, participants will be given tools to:

  • Understand the importance of mental health and self-care for women.
  • Identify common stressors and challenges faced by women and develop strategies for managing them.
  • Identify and manage common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression.
  • Develop a self-care plan and practice relaxation techniques.
  • Access resources for support and seek help when needed.
