Introduction

Mental fitness is an important aspect of overall well-being and can help individuals navigate challenges and achieve their goals. 

This training program will provide evidence-based practices and strategies for building mental fitness, as well as a toolkit for developing a mental fitness practice in both personal and professional settings. Practical exercises will be included to help participants apply what they have learned to their own lives. 

At the end of this session, participants will have gained the knowledge and skills to effectively build and maintain their own mental fitness and support their colleagues in doing the same.

  • Understanding mental fitness: the importance of mental fitness, how it can be improved, and the benefits it provides 
  • Evidence-based practices for building mental fitness: cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulnessbased therapy, and others 
  • Strategies for building mental fitness in daily life: self-care, setting goals, and managing stress 
  • Supporting a colleague in building their mental fitness: how to have a supportive conversation and refer them to appropriate resources 
  • Toolkit for developing a mental fitness practice in personal and professional settings: resources and strategies for improving mental fitness
