Introduction
Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize and manage one’s own emotions, as well as the emotions of
others. It is an important skill in any work setting, as it can help to improve communication, foster healthy
relationships, and enhance problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
In this Skills Training Program/Workshop, participants will learn about best practices for developing and
demonstrating emotional intelligence in the workplace.
The aim of this session is to equip employees and managers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively
recognize and manage their own emotions, as well as the emotions of others, in the workplace.

- The session will include a mix of theoretical and practical elements, including lectures, group discussions, and hands-on exercises.
- Participants will be given the opportunity to practice demonstrating emotional intelligence in simulated workplace situations.
- Case studies and real-life examples will be used to illustrate key concepts and help participants understand how the principles covered in the session can be applied in a work setting.
- The session will introduce participants to relevant theories and models related to emotional intelligence, such as the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) and the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i).
- The session will also cover best practices for demonstrating emotional intelligence in the workplace, such as emotional awareness and emotional regulation.
- The knowledge and skills gained in this session can be leveraged in a variety of work settings to improve communication, foster healthy relationships, and enhance problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Participants will be able to understand and demonstrate emotional intelligence in different situations and will be able to use emotional intelligence as a tool for communication, conflict resolution, and leadership.

- Participants will work in small groups to practice demonstrating emotional intelligence in simulated workplace situations.
- They will be given a scenario and will be asked to use emotional awareness and emotional regulation to recognize and manage their own emotions, as well as the emotions of others in the situation.
- The group will then present their responses to the rest of the class for feedback and discussion.
At the end of this session, participants will have gained a thorough understanding of the concept of
emotional intelligence and its importance in the workplace.
They will have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively recognize and manage their own emotions,
