Introduction

Conflict is a natural part of any relationship, and having a range of tools and techniques at our disposal can help us resolve conflicts in a constructive and positive manner. 

In this training, we will explore a variety of conflict resolution techniques and tools, including problem- solving, mediation, negotiation, and compromise. 

We will discuss the pros and cons of each technique and provide examples and exercises for practicing these techniques and tools.

  1. The Five-Step Problem-Solving Process: This is a structured approach to problem-solving that consists of defining the problem, generating alternatives, evaluating alternatives, selecting the best alternative, and implementing the solution.
  2. The Interest-Based Relational Approach: This approach emphasizes the importance of understanding the underlying interests and needs of all parties involved in a conflict and finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  3. The Win-Win Negotiation: This approach focuses on finding mutually acceptable solutions that meet the needs and interests of all parties involved.
