In this skills training program, employees and managers will learn how to challenge assumptions and expand their thinking.

    attendees how to challenge assumptions and come up with fresh ideas.
  • The objectives of this skills training program are to:
    • Define assumptions and explain the importance of challenging them
    • Provide tools and frameworks for challenging assumptions
    • Lead attendees through practical exercises to practice challenging assumptions
    • Discuss how to overcome common challenges when challenging assumptions

This skills training program will be delivered through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and practical exercises. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the material through interactive activities and will have the chance to practice challenging assumptions through hands-on exercises.

  • Lateral thinking: a problem-solving approach that involves seeking out new and innovative solutions by looking at problems from different angles
  • The Six Thinking Hats model by Edward de Bono: a framework for examining problems from different perspectives

Attendees will learn how to challenge assumptions and come up with fresh ideas in their work settings. They will also learn how to overcome common challenges and effectively apply these techniques to real-world situations

Attendees will have the opportunity to practice challenging assumptions through a variety of exercises,
including:

  • Brainstorming sessions: attendees will work in groups to come up with as many ideas as possible, both positive and negative, for a given problem or challenge
  • Role-playing: attendees will take on different roles and consider how they would approach a problem or challenge from different perspectives
  • Case studies: attendees will work in groups to apply the skills learned in this training program to real-world scenarios

At the end of this skills training program, attendees will have a thorough understanding of the importance of challenging assumptions and will have the tools and frameworks to do so effectively.

They will have had the opportunity to practice challenging assumptions through interactive exercises, enabling them to confidently apply these techniques in their day-to-day work.
