Introduction
Investigating accidents and incidents in the workplace is critical for identifying root causes and preventing future occurrences. In this Health & Safety Training Program/Workshop, participants will learn about best practices for conducting accident and incident investigations in the workplace.
The aim of this session is to equip employees and managers with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively investigate accidents and incidents in order to identify and address underlying causes and prevent future occurrences.

- Participants will work in small groups to conduct an accident and incident investigation in a simulated workplace setting.
- They will be given a scenario and will be asked to collect and preserve evidence, interview witnesses,and use root cause analysis tools to identify and address underlying causes of the incident.
- The group will then present their findings and recommendations to the rest of the class for feedback and discussion.
At the end of this session, participants will have gained a thorough understanding of the importance of conducting accident and incident investigations in the workplace and will have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively investigate accidents and incidents in order to identify and address underlying causes and prevent future occurrences.
They will also be aware of the legal requirements related to accident and incident investigation in the workplace and will be able to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with those requirements.
